Mrs. Jennifer Sims
(Owner/Instructor)
Hello! My name is Jennifer Sims but everyone at the studio calls me Mrs. Jennifer. My passion for dance started at a early age of 4. I have experienced the pleasure of dancing with many great studios in the surrounding community- Meredith Gravely, Dance Academy and Margaret Rowland School of Dance. In 1994 I began to pursue my dancing career farther by becoming an instructor with Margaret Rowland until 2008.
As a child my dream was to alwaysto be able to help people, especially children.A fun little fact about me is that I actually went to college for Early Childhood Education, and I worked in daycare for many of years. In September of 2014 my childhood dreams became reality. I opened up The Dance House. At TDH, the teachers, dancers, parents, family members and myself have created a studio that feels like home
I have been trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Clogging, Musical Theatre, Technique and Competition. I am a certfield PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) instructor. I have completed the 4 Dance Labs program that covers Foundational, Imtermediate, Advanced and Elite Jazz Leaps and Turns. I also have a cerfied Acrobatics Arts school. I have my Module 1, AcroDance Pre School, Aerial and Back Handspring, Professional Development certified in Acro Dance as well as my Competition Adjudicator Cerification.
Ever since opening The Dance House I have learned so much. I am excited to see how much we can continue to grow together. I want to be able to give everyone the same opportunity that I was given as a child, the Love of Dance.
